Getting started
How does Bibblin work?
You describe a story through our guided chat — who it's for, what they love, the setting, tone, and style. We write and illustrate a personalised children's book just for you. You approve it before anything goes to print, then we ship a real hardcover to your door. See How It Works for the full step-by-step.
Do I need to make an account?
You can start creating and see the story for free without an account. You'll need to sign up to save your progress, approve a story, and place an order.
How long does the whole process take?
Writing and illustrating your story takes around 15–30 minutes once you submit it. Printing and shipping typically takes 7–14 business days after you approve and pay.

Is it really free to create a story?
Yes. Writing and reading your personalised story is completely free. You only pay when you love the finished book and want it printed and delivered.
What does a printed book cost?
Pricing depends on book length. You'll see the exact price on the checkout screen before you commit. We show it before you enter any payment details.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details.
Can I get a digital copy instead of a print?
A PDF copy of your book is included with every print order so you have it straight away while your physical copy is on its way.
Photos & personalisation
Do I have to upload a photo?
No. Uploading a reference photo is entirely optional. You can make a beautiful, personalised book without one.
What do you do with photos I upload?
Photos are used only to help illustrate the main character to resemble a real person. We never train AI on your photos, never share them, and delete them once your book is made.
Will the character look exactly like the photo?
We create an original illustration inspired by the photo — capturing hair colour, skin tone, and other features — not a traced or filtered copy. Results look like storybook art, not a photograph.
Can I personalise the name, age, and interests of the character?
Yes. The guided studio walks you through all of this — name, age, personality, favourite things, setting, plot, and more. The more you tell us, the more personal the story.
Delivery
Where do you ship?
We ship worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times are shown at checkout.
How long does shipping take?
Standard delivery is 7–14 business days after your book goes to print. Exact estimates are shown at checkout based on your location.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes. You'll receive an email with your tracking details once your book has been dispatched.
My book arrived damaged. What do I do?
Email us at hello@makestorybooks.com with a photo of the damage within 14 days of delivery. We'll reprint and reship your book at no charge. See our Refund Policy for more details.
Book quality
What kind of book is it?
A professionally printed hardcover with a glossy dust jacket, bound to publishing industry standards. Not a print-on-demand photo book — a real children's storybook.
How many pages is it?
Books are typically 24–32 pages, with one full-page illustration per spread. The exact length depends on your story.
Can I choose the art style?
Yes. The studio offers several art styles — watercolour, cartoon, storybook, chalk, and more. You pick during the creation process.
